Bishton Farm Pools Wolseley Bridge Nr Rugeley

This is one of my favorite pleasure fisheries with loads of fish in all pools, the owner Albert Pyatt is improving the pools and surrounding areas all the time, so the fishery is improving every time you go, great for the kids to learn fishing and with always a warm welcome.

Fairoaks Fishery - Cannock Chase - Cannock - Staffordshire

it's a members only complex of waters.  There are no day tickets available for this venue, instead you have to make yourself a member at Cannock Forestry Commission offices based at Birches Valley.

The membership is not cheap either, at £100 for 1 adult and 1 junior,  However for that money you do get great fishing set in an area designated as being of outstanding natural beauty.

There are four pools based at the site near Slitting Mill in Rugeley and one pool located at Beaudesert near to Hazel Slade.  The top pool at Slitting Mill is ram packed full of Roach, Tench, Perch, Rudd, Bream and Carp approaching twenty pound!!!  This is the pool that Darren  and Jack have fished the most with the day being non stop action of smallish Roach and Tench although Jack has had a six pound common and I recently had a 7 and half pound common out as well (see photo section).

Although we have tried the second pool which is predominantly stocked with carp into mid-doubles, we didn't get a lot of action here and only had two fish all day upto about three pound.  The third pool is supposedly where the large carp are with catches of over twenty pound being reported although I haven't witnessed this yet.  The fourth pool is similar to pool one although not as big.

Definitely recommended if you live at or near the location as you're sure to get your money's worth
